The Platonic Pledge

I am joining Leisure Friends to make platonic connections through shared activities. I will not use it for dating, sexual solicitation, harassment, recruiting, sales or unwanted promotion. I will respect other members' boundaries, communicate honestly, show up when I say I will, meet in public places, and help keep plans safe and welcoming.

Leisure Friends is for finding people to do things with. Someone who wants a tennis partner, a hiking companion, or another person who will actually turn up to the chess night. That is the whole product, and the pledge is how everyone agrees to keep it that way.

It is not a dating service, and approaching another member romantically or sexually is the fastest way to lose an account. It is also not a place to recruit, sell, coach for money, or promote anything.

Making the pledge is a commitment, not a background check. It does not verify anybody’s conduct and we do not present it as though it does. What it gives us is a clear, shared standard — so that when somebody falls short of it, both of you already know what was agreed.

Report them. Every profile and every conversation has a report control, and you can block someone at any time without explaining why. Blocking is immediate and complete: you disappear from each other across the whole product.

If we materially change this pledge, we will ask every member to make it again before they carry on using the product. Your account records which version you agreed to and when, and you can always read the current one here.
