Privacy Policy

What you write. Your display name, approximate area (a neighborhood and city, never a street address), age, a headline, an About section, prompt answers, interests, the activities you are up for and your comfort level with each, the general times you tend to be free, and any trips you tell us about. This is the material other members read to decide whether to say hello, so it is shown to members who can already reach you.

Your photographs and your introduction video. Both are held in private storage. Neither bucket is public: a photograph or video is served only through a link we sign for one specific viewer at the moment they are allowed to see it, and that link stops working after 120 seconds.

Your messages and plans. Message text, the activity and public place you propose, and the notes you attach. Messages are readable by you, the member you are talking to, and — only where a report requires it — a moderator.

Your email address. Used to sign you in and to send the notifications you have not turned off. Sign-in is by emailed link or Google; we never ask you for a password and never store one.

Some of the profiles and Activities shown on Leisure Friends are illustrative: they were created by us to show how the service works, and they do not describe real members. They appear in the same places real listings do, including browse and search results.

We tell you this here rather than labelling each one, because a site captioned “example” on every card is harder to read and no more honest than a plain statement in the document you are reading now. Illustrative profiles are marked as such in our database, and they are refused on the live production service by a database rule rather than by anybody remembering — so a profile you encounter on the real site is a real account.

No personal data belongs to an illustrative profile, because there is no person behind it. Nothing you read on one was collected from anybody, and nothing you do with one creates a record about a real member.

Photographs are converted to a single web format on our servers and stored in a private bucket — never a public one. Location and camera metadata embedded by your phone is discarded in that conversion and never stored. You may keep up to six.

A video introduction is optional and limited to thirty seconds. The limit is measured on the server by inspecting the file itself, not by trusting the page that uploaded it, and a video that fails inspection is not stored. Both photographs and video are served through short-lived links issued to the specific member allowed to see them; there is no permanent address that would work for anybody else.

Replacing a photograph or a video deletes the file it replaced. Deleting your account deletes all of them. We do not run facial recognition or any biometric identification on your media, and we do not use it to train models.

Your identity documents. We never ask for them. Leisure Friends does not verify identity, age or background, so there is no ID image, document number or date of birth anywhere in this product.

Your exact location. We store the city and neighborhood you choose. The product has no access to device location, and asks the browser for none.

Analytics and advertising trackers. There are none. No analytics script, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker runs on this site, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

Visibility is enforced in the database itself, not only in the interface. A member who is not allowed to see you cannot retrieve your activity profiles, your photographs or your video by any route, including a direct link.

Your profile is shown to verified members in good standing in your city — or visiting it — who share an activity with you. It is not on the public internet, and every member-facing page tells search engines not to index it. Blocking is mutual and immediate: a blocked member cannot see you at all, and you disappear from each other’s alerts as well as each other’s feeds.

PGBDIC LLC, an Illinois limited liability company owns and operates Leisure Friends and decides what is collected and why, so it is PGBDIC LLC you are dealing with over your data, and PGBDIC LLC that any request below is made to. The companies named in the next section handle data on our instructions; they do not decide what happens to it.

Supabase hosts the database, authentication and private file storage. Vercel hosts and serves the application. An identity verification provider performs age and identity checks, as described above. An email provider delivers sign-in links and notifications. We use no other processors, and no advertising or analytics vendor.

Your profile, your activity profiles and your messages are kept while your account exists. An upload you start and abandon is cleared after 24 hours. A photograph or video you replace or remove stops being reachable at once and its bytes are deleted within 30 days by a scheduled sweep. An invitation nobody answers lapses after 14 days.

Two things deliberately outlive an account, both about somebody else’s safety: a report you file and the record of a moderation decision. When the account is deleted these are unlinked from you — they no longer identify who you were — but the fact of the report remains, so that deleting an account cannot erase a safety history.

You can delete your account yourself, from Account & privacy. It removes your profile, your activity profiles, availability, interests, trips, invitations, plans, conversations, messages and notifications, and it deletes your photographs and your introduction video from storage — not merely the rows that point at them.

Messages you sent to another member are removed with the conversation. Reports and moderation records are retained without you attached, as described above.

You control which notification emails you receive, who can reach you, and whether your card is published at all. You can block or report any member from their profile or your conversation, and blocking is never disclosed to the person blocked.

Leisure Friends is for adults. Every account must pass an adult verification check, and an account that fails it cannot be discovered by or contact anybody.
